It can be argued that there are some players in Cooperstown who were not as good as Will Clark was. There are other players I can say this about, notably Don Mattingly who had stats comparable to Will Clark’s. Will “The Thrill” Clark represented all that was going with the sport in 1986 until the short end of his career in 2000. It was all about the clutch, it was all about the thrill! Few have stood as tall as Clark in the history of this game without achieving massive numbers. Clark left the game to care for his autistic child, and continued on to become the VOICE OF AUTISM awareness in San Francisco. He is a legend, a pure one. He deserves HOF honors, and everybody knows it.
